Happy New Year!
Going through new years all our lives can somehow be very exhausting with all the planning and the pressure of making the new year better than the last. But does that really fall to our hands?
Going through new years all our lives can somehow be very exhausting with all the planning and the pressure of making the new year better than the last. But does that really fall to our hands?
Yes.
Between Christmas and New Year, I like the New Year holiday more because I love fireworks and I love how it affects me. It always makes me feel like it's my chance to change for the better. Although in all my 27 years, I haven't really stuck to all my plans. No wait, I have. Last year. I actually changed a lot and though my life is still not how I want it to be, I have a better life than I deserve.
I have tried spending Christmas elsewhere (USA, 2005 | Thailand, 2003) and I can say that Christmas in the Philippines is still more fun. I haven't tried celebrating NYE elsewhere, and I am open to that someday. I am used to having a big celebration but this year was rather simple, and I like it.
We spent NYE at my lola's apartment. It was only the five of us and Rab came as well. I enjoyed the food and the fireworks and just like when I was a kid, I couldn't stop smiling and jumping when the fireworks started. There were less fireworks displays as compared to previous years but it was fine. It just added up to our celebration being simple but meaningful.
Rab and I were discussing our 2017 and plans for 2018 and I couldn't be more excited! I'm still working on my 2018 list but once it's done, I'll be writing it on my blog as constant reminder.
Here are a few photos from last night.
